How to Throw a Sticker-Themed Birthday Party
By Sticker Flux ·
A sticker-themed party gives guests something to do, something to trade and something to take home — all from one idea. The centrepiece is a design station where children make their own stickers, supported by a few simple games. It scales from a kitchen table for six to a hall for thirty.
Set up a design station that runs itself
Cover a table with paper, put out pencils, markers and pre-cut sticker paper shapes, and let guests design freely. Younger children manage best with outlines to colour; older ones prefer blank shapes. An adult or older sibling acting as station helper keeps supplies topped up and names written on the back of every creation.
For a memorable twist, turn the birthday child's own drawings into real stickers beforehand as party favours — our guide on turning kids' drawings into stickers explains the process. Guests can also design digitally: a tablet running the [Sticker Flux sticker design app](/) lets them generate artwork from their own ideas, ready to print later.
Play sticker games between activities
Sticker tag — each guest gets a sheet and tries to stick one on everyone else's arm without getting tagged themselves — burns energy fast. A 'guess the sticker' bag, where players identify a sticker by touch, suits calmer moments. Trading time near the end, with one-for-one swap rules, lets everyone rebalance their haul.
A sticker quiz works well for mixed ages: show a design and ask who made it or what it depicts. Keep prizes small and sticker-shaped so the theme never breaks.
Send guests home with something personal
The best favour is the one guests made themselves, so send home each child's designs in a small paper folder or album. Add a personalised sticker with the party date — 'Maya's sticker party, October 2026' — made in the Sticker Flux custom sticker maker, and the bag becomes a keepsake rather than clutter.
If you want a bigger organised event later, the format grows naturally into a swap party; our sticker swap party guide covers invitations, trading etiquette and display ideas for larger groups.
Take a group photo of everyone holding their favourite creation before the trading starts — it captures the designs before they scatter, and parents appreciate receiving it afterwards.
