How to Turn Kids' Drawings into Custom Stickers
By Sticker Flux ·
To turn a child's drawing into a sticker, capture a clear image, upload it to a sticker-making tool, review the interpretation, and print the selected design on compatible adhesive paper. Keep the original drawing too: the finished sticker is another version of the child's idea, not a replacement for it. In Sticker Flux, PNG and JPG downloads require a paid plan; printing materials and independent print-shop orders are purchased separately.
Capture the drawing clearly
Place the page flat in even light and photograph it from above. Avoid a strong shadow from the phone or a bright reflection on the paper. Make sure the whole drawing is visible and remove unnecessary desk clutter from the frame before uploading.
Thick, distinct shapes are easier to see than faint pencil details in a tiny photo. You do not need to redraw the child's work for perfection; a clearer photo is often the better first adjustment. Avoid uploading personal information such as a full name, school details, or an address.
Use the Magic Scanner
Go to the [Sticker Flux homepage](/) and select Magic Scanner. Upload or capture the drawing and choose how much creative transformation you want. A lower creativity setting asks for a closer interpretation; a higher setting gives more freedom to reimagine the subject.
A completed enhancement provides four designs. Generated art can change details even at a low creativity setting. Let the artist choose which interpretation feels most like their idea and keep expectations clear: this is not an exact tracing tool.
Review the sticker together
Check the subject, expression, colors, and any text before printing. Ask one concrete question at a time: is this the right animal, does this color fit, or which scene do you like? A choice between four versions can be easier than asking a child to judge an unlimited number of possibilities.
If you want another original idea alongside the drawing, try the guided sticker maker. See why sticker making is a creative activity for ways to make the process collaborative rather than competitive.
Print a keepsake, not a whole batch first
Download the chosen image or use the app's Print option. Print a plain-paper proof and inspect it at the intended size before loading sticker paper. The white rim and black cut line are included in the actual sticker image; keep that rim when cutting.
An adult should handle the printer and supervise cutting. A notebook or memory book is an easy destination for a first sticker. Our home-printing guide covers settings, while sticker party ideas show how to adapt the project for a group.
