How to Make Round Stickers

By Sticker Flux ·

Round stickers are perfect for sealing packages, envelopes, gift boxes, and jars. Their simple shape is easy to print, cut, and apply cleanly.

Designing for a circle

Center your main image and keep important details away from the edge. Circular badge layouts, sun and moon motifs, fruit slices, and simple icons fit beautifully. If you add text, curving it along the top or bottom edge makes the design feel intentional.

Common sizes are 1, 1.5, 2, and 3 inches. Small circles work for envelope seals and planner dots, while 2 to 3 inch circles suit packaging and jar labels. Use a consistent color palette across a set for a branded look. [Sticker Flux](/) produces rounded-square images, not ready-made circular labels. If you adapt a paid download to a circle in another tool, reposition the subject and rebuild the border as needed; cropping can remove important artwork and the included cutting outline.

Printing round stickers

Use pre-cut round label sheets with a matching template, or print on full-sheet sticker paper and cut the circles yourself. Templates save time and give perfect circles, but you must align your design to the template exactly and print at 100 percent scale.

Print a test on plain paper and hold it up to the label sheet against a window to check alignment. Small shifts are common, so adding a little background bleed past the circle edge hides minor misalignment.

Cutting perfect circles

A circle punch makes quick, perfect round stickers from full sheets, especially in 1 or 2 inch sizes. A cutting machine can also cut circles precisely. With scissors, cut slowly while turning the paper rather than your hand.

Round stickers are great as packaging seals because they have no corners to catch and peel. Press firmly across the seam of a box or envelope so the sticker holds both sides together.

Cutting perfect circles by hand requires patience and a pair of sharp, fine-tipped scissors to follow the curve without creating jagged edges. If you are using a cutting machine, ensure your calibration is precise so the blade stays centered on your design's border throughout the entire rotation. While round stickers are a classic choice, remember that your design's composition should stay within the safety margin to avoid being clipped.
